Adaptive Skills Training (AST) Specialists: BA/BS
We are always looking for Part-Time AST Specialists to work with children with special needs
and various disabilities by utilizing ABA teaching methodologies. This position requires working
closely with AST Supervisor on Program Design and Implementation to develop and/or increase
clients' independence in the areas of self-help, communication, motor, socialization, and behavior.
This position also requires helping parents in achievement of their child's goals.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
- Minimum BA/BS degree in Psychology, ECE, Teaching ABA, Education/Special Education
Speech/Language, Child/Adolescent Development, Social Work, or related fields
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Fluency in English language
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
- Cleared TB test; clear background check
LOCATIONS:
Greater Sacramento Metro, Elk Grove, Davis, and Yuba-Sutter-Colusa area
WORK HOURS:
Part time (6-20h/week)
Full Time hours are not available at this time but possible in 2014.
Client's schedules vary - may be required to work evenings or some weekend hours

AST Supervisors are responsible for assessments, Program Design and Implementation,
and support to AST Specialsits. This position also requires developing parent training plans.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
- Minimum MA/MS degree in Psychology, ECE, Teaching ABA, Education/Special Education
Speech/Language, Child/Adolescent Development, Social Work, or related fields
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Fluency in English language
